All-on-4 Dental Implants: The Next Best Thing to Natural Teeth

Patients suffering from missing teeth understand the difficulties of living day-to-day with gaps in their smile but may not realize how significantly lost teeth impact their overall health. The roots of a tooth do more than just hold the tooth in place: they provide important signals to the underlying tissue to keep your jawbone strong. When a tooth is lost, the lack of signals begins a slow process of bone atrophy that can lead to further tooth loss and an aged appearance.

Dental implants are the gold standard of tooth replacement and effectively act like new teeth. The titanium or ceramic posts of dental implants act like bionic tooth roots, providing a stable platform for restorations but also supplying the signals to your jawbone effectively stopping further bone loss. All-on-4 implants allow our Montreal, QC, dentists to restore the smiles of patients living with widespread tooth loss.

Best dentist I've ever been to easy. I'm an extremely rough patient who is petrified of needles and has panic attacks. Dr. Casey AND HIS STAFF (can't stress this enough, many reviews speak of Dr. Casey but his staff is equally unbelievable and exceptional) have never judged me and have always been nothing but understanding.

Positive experience, warmly greeted. I am beyond thrilled with the experience(s) so far. This practice has dealt with my lifelong issues of a paralysing phobia of dentists and begun rectifying the problems this past week. I have many medical issues that make a trip to the dentist an ordeal, yet Dr. Casey took me on without hesitation. Other dentists were leary of my medical issues and have put me off for years. If you have serious issues and have put them off, here is your solution.

Who Is a Good Candidate for All-on-4 Implants?

To qualify for the dental implant surgery necessary to support an All-on-4 restoration, you need to be in good general health and free from any medical conditions that could compromise your healing or the success of your treatment.

No Smoking

Smoking can increase your risk of implant failure due to the fact that it inhibits your ability to heal properly. Smokers need to quit permanently months in advance of dental implant placement.

Widespread Tooth Loss

All-on-4 implants are only recommended if you are missing most if not all of your teeth, as it takes advantage of an implant-supported denture prosthesis to replace a full arch.

Healthy Gums

Your gums must be in good health to support dental implants. If you have periodontal disease, we can develop a treatment plan to ensure a healthy foundation for your implants.

State-of-the-Art Technology All-on-4 Treatment Process

Recent advances in dental technology allow surgeons to place implants with incredible accuracy. At Smile Montreal, our doctors utilize nSequence technology to provide predictable treatment for our patients. Using an i-CAT® 3-D imaging system, your doctor can analyze the teeth, jawbone, and crucial orofacial landmarks, such as the maxillary sinuses and the mandibular nerves.

Using these images, a custom surgical guide can be fabricated. This device is placed over the bone ridge during surgery to mark the optimal locations for your new implants. Simply stated, guided surgery minimizes the margin of error in placing implants.

Being fearful of dentists since my childhood braces, I was always nervous going into a clinique. I can say that the staff and Dr P Casey is finally a dentist I can relax with. Really good patient relation and explains everything in detail. Highly recommend his clinique ! I'm sure his dad who also works there  is equally excellent or even better with age ;)

Another great experience! Was extremely nervous just to take impressions,... but they made me feel comfortable and took good care of me. Dr Casey, I can’t thank you enough for being a good/compassionate human. Special thanks to Alex, who knew exactly what to do when my anxiety kicked in and to Maria and Sonia who made sure I was comfortable. Such a great  staff ! I’ll never go anywhere else!

Dental Sedation Options For Maximum Relaxation

All-on-4 implant surgery can be performed under sedation to ensure your comfort. On the day of your surgery, our dentist will numb your gums with local anesthesia but depending on your individual needs you may require additional sedation to enable you to remain calm and relaxed.

Our Montreal, QC, dental practice provides patients with conscious sedation options such as nitrous oxide and oral sedation for patients requiring mild to moderate sedation. Patients with a bit more anxiety towards a visit to the dentist can benefit from IV sedation. This allows our dentists to place your dental implants while you remain in a twilight state. This allows even the most nervous and anxious patients to receive the treatment they need to restore their smile.
