At Smile Montreal Dentistry, we customize treatments to meet our patients’ individual needs and goals. Therefore, it is impossible to provide an exact cost estimate for veneers without a personal evaluation. Since porcelain veneers are categorized as cosmetic dental care, they are typically not covered by insurance. The cost of veneers is different for every person and depends heavily on the number of teeth you want to treat, the type of veneer, and the need for additional procedures.
The Number of Veneers
The number of veneers is by far the biggest contributing factor to your treatment costs. You may just want a single veneer to correct a small or otherwise imperfect tooth. However, many patients prefer to enhance a large portion of their smiles. In this case, the dentist can place multiple veneers on several teeth.
The Type of Dental Veneer
There are a few different types of veneers available that vary in cost. At Smile Montreal, we use state-of-the-art E4D electronic imaging and nSequence® multi-disciplinary technology to construct our custom porcelain veneers. Alternatively, a composite veneer, which uses the same resin material as dental bonding, is typically less expensive. Bonding does not require permanent alternations to your tooth enamel and may be better suited for patients wishing to conceal minor imperfections on their teeth. On the other hand, a traditional porcelain veneer is more durable and produces a more natural finish.
Need for Additional Treatments
You may choose to combine veneers with other procedures to further enhance your teeth. Treatments most popularly combined with veneers are teeth whitening and gum contouring. Needless to say, additional procedures will increase the overall cost, but can produce even more cohesive, confidence-boosting results. If you are nervous about undergoing treatment, the dentist can provide different levels of sedation. Sedation dentistry involves administering medication to help patients relax during the procedure. We can offer oral conscious and intravenous sedation to ensure maximum comfort throughout the entirety of the dental treatment.
